Role Description

Nova is seeking a System Optics Project Manager to take the lead over a new material metrology platform development for the semiconductor industries.

The project manager is responsible for all the aspects of the projects from concept and design to onsite installation and support.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, manage, monitor, and lead the project to ensure product delivery within the required specifications, on time, and within the allocated budget.
  • Serve as the key contact for field escalations and feature requests.
  • Act as the primary contact for any inbound topics, interfacing with the matrix organization.
  • Interface with the product manager on any outbound topics (towards the customer).
  • Ensure the product meets the performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
  • Be responsible for the entire project’s system performance.
  • Act as the system go-to person on all technical matters, being a technical expert knowledgeable in system operation, measurement, performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Detail the system, sub-system, and module requirements.
  • Lead the development activities and technical reviews throughout the product’s life cycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, and FDR). Lead other technical design reviews as needed.
  • Be responsible for project task assignments, follow-up, and alignment with interfacing development groups, service, and production.
  • Lead the technical aspects of the beta activity.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Physics/ Engineering (Electrical, Optics, or Equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-disciplinary system engineering 
  • Direct technical management of 3+ people
  • Project management from initiation to closure (2+ years)
  • Familiarity with optical equipment (CCDs, LEDs, lenses, lasers, optical filters etc.) and techniques (imaging systems, spectroscopy concepts).
  • Matlab/Python hands-on knowledge
  • Worked in complex activities in project and matrix environments in parallel
